This place doesn't look like much on the outside, but we ordered takeout recently and the food was delicious! We got there shortly before closing, and the woman behind the counter was super nice not only to us but to a customer who had called earlier to place a take-out order and was lost find in the shop so wouldn't arrive until after closing. She was very nice and accommodating him and giving him directions to the shop. We ordered egg rolls, Kung Pao chicken, and orange chicken. Everything was very fresh, and well prepared. I was a little disappointed that they don't offer Moo Shu, but I'm so glad to have found a wonderful Chinese restaurant in New Bern!

Some things we had were a 5 and some a 3 so split the difference. All the appetizers were great - fried dumplings, beef crispy wontons and house roll. We got lo mein - 3 diff ones - shrimp, chicken and pork. They were huge portions - 3 people could split one order. It was really bland and dry - not much taste and had to add tons of soy sauce, etc. Will definitely be back for appetizers and will try a different main dish.

Tried this restaurant last night. Have been dying for Chinese food since leaving New York. This restaurant has been the closest to NY so far. The wanton soup was pretty good, even had some spice to it, and the fried rice was excellent. My wife really like the the short ribs, I thought they were a little sweet but good. Looking forward to trying some of the other dishes.

Best Chinese in town without a doubt. I've been ordering from here since 2008 and have yet to have a problem or bad food. Literally 2 meals for the price of one, huge portions!

Best Chinese takeout in New Bern! Food is always hot and fresh. Portions are very large.

They have some of the best Chinese chicken wings in town!! Reasonably priced & you get a lot for your money.

I love New Chinese Food Takeout soon as I ask for shrimp egg rolls and large wing they say ok Kem. Having shrimp fried rice shrimp egg rolls and wings tonight! Nice eating with a movie and a beer (a root beer) on a rainy night like me and my son are enjoying! I've also tried fried wonton egg drop soup shrimp and broccoli and two or more.

This place is within walking distance of my house, so I decided to give it a chance, because everyone needs to find a nice restaurant to walk to on those lazy summer afternoons. I ordered a small Egg Fried Rice, a small Chicken Lo Mein and a Large General Tso, hoping that this was enough for two people to share. I was pleasantly surprised when I got home and realized that the small sizes were what I would traditionally see advertised as large at most places, and the large was a foam takeout box you'd get from most restaurants, filled to the brim with General Tso chicken. The food was hot and delicious, and there ended up being 2-3 portions for each of us! The staff was incredibly friendly and the kitchen was easily the cleanest looking kitchen I've seen from a small Chinese place. All of the veggies I saw looked fresh and tasty. The employees seem to take a lot of pride in their work and it certainly shows in the restaurant. If you have a craving for Chinese food, give this place a shot. You'll be surprised how much great food you can get for $6.
